When I first started this read I was rather envious of Sarah but as i got on with the book I was most grateful that I’m a humble school librarian and my “clientele” are between the ages of 6 and 13.
I felt the injustice of what was happening to Sarah, she worked hard and gave it her all and the next thing she knows she’s doing arbitrary work, it was a reality check of sorts because these things really happen in real life out there in the corporate world and it made me realise again why people are frightening , it’s as if nobody wants to share good fortune.
Sarah did complain and feel negative and rightly so but instead of wallowing she made the decision to rise from it and grow which is inspiring and may give hope to some …..
A different read but also a relatable real if that makes sense.
